March 17th, the most beautiful day of our week was anxiously awaited by all here in Pawtucket for not only did we fete the famous Irish St. Patrick at Mass and our traditional dinner of corned beef and cabbage, an ice cream and cookie party in the afternoon and then entertainment by Irish step dancers but we also hosted our third annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner fundraiser at the Olde Grist Mill Restaurant in nearby Seekonk, MA. Patrons including some of our Residents began to arrive at 11:30 AM as did the Bagpiper who diligently entertained the diners with Irish music throughout their dinner time. The dinner, as well as the atmosphere, was superb and continued throughout the afternoon and night until 9 p.m. Thanks to the generosity of our benefactor and owner of the restaurant, we were able to meet many other benefactors who we know only through the mail and telephone and hopefully made many new ones!
