MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION

  • June 9, 2011

Mardi Gras was March 8th and we celebrated with a southern menu of fried chicken turnips/carrots and rice. After dessert it seemed that everyone disappeared to either be in the parade or be a spectator. Each floor had a theme and the parade started in the coffee shop. All along the first floor to the auditorium where the finale was being anticipated, parade spectators were throwing beaded necklaces and candy. Prizes were awarded according to category for the funniest, most original, etc. they were voted on by all present.
