It was a joy-filled day indeed as we welcomed good friends and benefactors from our community and beyond to the annual Christmas Bazaar at Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence. From homemade crafts, games, to a selection of premier prizes, it was festive day for guests of all ages.
The annual event, preparations for which take place all year, provided the opportunity to purchase unique gifts, many made by hand, and with love. Busy shoppers also enjoyed a spaghetti dinner, meatball subs, or pizza from our long-time, friend and donor Caserta Pizza. A delectable selection of homemade cookies, cupcakes, scones, breads, and more were available at the bake sale.
Heartfelt gratitude to all of our volunteers, staff, and talented Resident knitters, sewers, Rosary and craft-makers. Together, along with many cheer-filled Christmas shoppers, it was a festive day for all.
The holiday traditions continue with our annual Turkey Drop on December 9. We look forward to greeting our friends and neighbors and appreciate their generous donations of frozen turkeys which will fill our refrigerators with future meals for our Residents.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone bringing Thanksgiving and Christmas cheer to our Home!
