In Thanksgiving

  • November 17, 2017

It was a crisp November morning when the Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence welcomed good friend and benefactor Ed Medeiros, CEO of East Commerce Solutions and his team for their extraordinary and generous delivery of turkeys and gourmet fixings. We were grateful to be one of the first stops on the company’s annual Thanksgiving Turkey Run which included delivery of over 1,000 turkeys and trimmings to several Southern New England non-profit organizations.

Following a police escort, MINIS Making a Difference, a local non-profit group of Mini Cooper owners, donated their time and vehicles to Mr. Medeiros’ charitable mission.

The parking lot was as full as our freezers and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

On Saturday December 9, despite inclement weather, the Little Sisters and several Residents greeted friends and neighbors from the community and beyond who so generously supported our Turkey Drop! A heartfelt thank you to everyone!
