On Thursday May 11, the Sisters had a special “Employee Appreciation Luncheon.” The kitchen prepared a delicious lunch buffet for everyone to enjoy. For desert there were two sheet cakes and other goodies like brownies and cookies. Each employee was given a raffle ticket and after the meal, prizes were drawn and some employees went home with a special gift.
During the Luncheon, Mother Mercy recognized some of our employees that were celebrating milestone employment anniversaries. These people have worked for the Jeanne Jugan Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor from 5 years to 35 years.
The first person honored was Leona Graham 35 years Leona is a Dietary aide, another long timer is Sharon Ferrara, a Nurse, celebrating 25 years. Emily Parker, a CNA has been here 20 years. We had three employees celebrating 15, three employees celebrating 10 years and six employees celebrating 5 years. We are blessed with such wonderful and dedicated employees.
