To honor the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, we had a Marian procession around our block.
The statue of Our Lady of Fatima was mounted on a wooden platform that was crafted by our maintenance staff and decorated by staff members.
Many employees, volunteers and students from St. Cecilia’s School joined in the procession and made it possible for most of the Residents to process with us.
The Knights of Columbus led the procession as honor guards. We stopped at the fire station to recite a decade of the rosary and the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
It was a wonderful witness to the family spirit that reigns in our Home and enabled us to evangelize as a few people passing by joined in the procession.
