Our large family of Residents, family members, Little Sisters, Association Jeanne Jugan members, staff, and PC (Providence College) for Life students joined into the life of our Diocese of Providence and of the entire Church on Respect Life Sunday, October 6, by forming our own Prayer Life Chain in front of our home on Main Street from 2 PM to 3PM. Despite the not so nice weather of drizzling rain drops, we spent the hour praying the rosary and singing hymns and patriotic songs while sporting Pro-Life posters and making a silent witness statement to the many people who passed by both on foot and in cars and buses. Most of the cars slowed down to read our posters and more than a few of them honked their horns and/or gave us thumbs up signs. We are convinced that our message was heard on busy Main Street in Pawtucket and perhaps those people who passed by were influenced in a positive way to RESPECT LIFE in all ways!
