On August 19, our home was graced with the presence of one of three newly ordained priests in the Diocese of Providence, Reverend Joshua A. Barrow. After Father Barrow celebrated mass in the chapel, residents and the congregation lined the center aisle to receive his blessing. Father also visited residents on the floors to offer his blessing and prayers of healing.
As a retired teacher from Father Barrow’s alma mater, Pilgrim High School in Warwick, I was so proud to have seen this former student mature in becoming a holy and honorable man. There is no greater reward for any teacher than witnessing a student succeed in life. There is no greater success in life than to serve our Lord. May God bestow Father Barrow with a life full of holiness, health and happiness.
“O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear our humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father Barrow. Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope, and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life.”
