On the 21st of August some fortunate third floor residents traveled to Colt State Park in Bristol, RI for a barbeque picnic. It was a beautiful, comfortable, summer day. We grilled hotdogs, and hamburgers, and had all the fixings to provide a delicious picnic lunch. After lunch, a game of baseball was played using dice, some residents went for walks and others just relaxed with the picturesque view of Narragansett Bay.
Everyone enjoyed some Del’s frozen lemonade (a RI treat!) which was generously paid for by a passerby who recognized our Home’s name across the side of our trolley bus. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Thank God for the little pleasures in life, and for the kind people that cross our paths.
