A Letter from Mother
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support and prayers during this challenging time. We hope you and your families are safe and managing as best as possible.
We want you to know that all of us at Jeanne Jugan Residence are safe and comfortable. The Sisters and our dedicated staff are making every attempt to keep to our daily routine - meals, prayers, and activities, in order to maintain as much normalcy as possible.
These routines have, of course, been altered to ensure the health and safety of our Residents. These necessary alterations, policies put in place weeks ago and frequently updated in compliance with directives from the Rhode Island Department of Health have helped to protect our Home.
These changes, however, have created an atmosphere of isolation which will undoubtedly affect our very social and prayerful Jeanne Jugan Family.
We are doing everything possible to maintain contact with families and friends. FaceTime and Skype have been wonderful resources and family “visits” between panes of glass along with messages of love from our patio have been absolute gifts!
Finally, daily prayer, daily Mass - televised or streamed, and daily, individual delivery of Holy Communion keeps all of us close to God, our source of light and hope during these uncertain times.
I thank you again for your prayers and support. Be assured of our prayers for you and may God bless and protect you and your families.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sr. Patricia Mary
