Retirement Wishes
A retirement party for Sue Cournoyer, RN, longtime and loyal employee at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Pawtucket, RI, was held in May. For more than thirty years, Sue’s dedication and expertise was a blessing to all of us. Wearing many different hats – fire-safety officer, director of nurses, in-service and MDS coordinator, Sue’s days were as full as they were diverse. A good friend to the Sisters, Residents and staff alike, everyone turned out for this special send-off and to wish her well. Mother Mercy presented Sue with a beautiful floral bouquet, and Sister Marie Bernadette composed a thoughtful and memorable poem. Signed by Residents and Staff alike, the poem was framed as a special keepsake. In classic “Little Sister style” there were plenty of goodies to go around making it an afternoon to remember in your “Heart!” A beautiful send-off indeed. We will miss you Sue!
