One Rose, One Life Prayer Service

  • October 21, 2013

On Sunday, October 13 while Our Holy Father Francis received the statue of Our Lady of Fatima in Rome and consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as part of the Marian Day in this Year of Faith, the Residents and Little Sisters were delighted to receive the images of Our Lady that the Knights of Columbus are accompanying in prayerful pilgrimage. The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will remain in our Chapel for five days. The other image (The Immaculate Conception) is going to a different cathedral, shrine or other church each day from October 12 through December 12. The image and a silver rose were first taken to the Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, MA on October 12 and then brought to our little chapel on October 13. The silver rose will eventually be joined with four others that will remain at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. Holy Mary, Mystical Rose ~ pray for us!
